How long will it take until my order is shipped?

We strive to get all orders out within 2 business days.

During sale periods or peak times of the year there may be a 1-3 day delay, however we recommend getting your fabric purchase in early to ensure it is picked and packed and dispatched in time!

Express orders are always prioritised.

Can I track my shipment with Super Cheap Fabrics?

You will receive confirmation of despatch via email. In this email, you will find your parcel number/s and shipment tracking links. If you have further questions, email or call us please.

How long is the delivery period?

You will find the date of dispatch in your order confirmation. We anticipate that your order will be handed over to the logistics service provider on this date. The period during which the goods remain in transit depends upon the type of shipment that you have selected, and your delivery address.

Yes, you can specify an alternative address for delivery in your customer account or during the order placement process.

How long will my international delivery take?

NZ Standard: Typically delivered within 6 - 10 business days.

Your Order/Account

Half metre - Why is my cart showing a different quantity to what was ordered?

We have half metres available to purchase via the online store. When you add your product of choice to your cart you will be able to add it in half metre incriments. However when you see your quantities in your cart at checkout, the quantity has doubled.

For example, 1 UNIT at checkout means .5m has been purchased.

2 UNITS at checkout means 1m.

3 UNITS at check out means 1.5m

If you get confused at checkout, a simple way to figure out what youve ordered is to halve the unit quantity showing in your cart.

Are my personal details secure with Super Cheap Fabrics?

The security of your data is important to us. All personal data is transmitted via a secure SSL connection. Your data is not shared with third parties.
To process your order, we must share some data that is relevant with our cooperation partners, such as shipping partners and banks. Data is not shared with other third parties.
As a customer, you consistently have the right to request information on your personal data that have been stored.

Where can I review my order status?

If you have registered with us, you can review your order status by logging into your account. Each time the status of your order changes, you will receive an automated e-mail notification from us via email or SMS.

I have forgotten my password. What do I do now?

If you have forgotten your password, please click on the "Forgot your password?" link on the login page and enter your e-mail address. You will be sent an email with instructions on how to change your password.

Does Super Cheap Fabrics specify a minimum order quantity?

Our minimum order quantity is 0.5 metre.

Can I change or cancel an order once it has been placed?

Once your item has been dispatched, it is not possible to alter your order as it's already in transit. However, if you would like to change your order before we fulfill your items, please reach out to us as soon as possible via phone (03) 8456 250 or email us at shop@supercheapfabrics.com.au. We typically respond within the hour.

Do I have to be registered to place an order?

You can make a purchase as a guest. If you would like to register for your next order, you can do this using the same email address. Of course, you can also place multiple orders as a guest. To order as a guest: Finish adding to cart and proceed to checkout.
You then have the option to register or to order as a guest.

Registered customers have the advantage of being able to review the status of their orders whenever they wish within their account. Guest checkouts will still be sent their tracking details but will have to go over to the couriers website to check the status of their order.

What if there is a problem with stock?

Fabric quantity accuracy is something we try to do our best, however there are times where the fabric stock level may be inaccurate. This is very common within this industry. If there is an issue with stock, for example we have found some damaged fabric and it is the end of the line, we will contact you to discuss options. If we are unable to contact you we will send out the order and you can contact us afterwards. Our priority is to give you the best possible service and product so please be assured that we will rectify any issues for you.

Do you offer bulk purchase/wholesale discounts?

All our products are offered at wholesale prices. You do not have to register or buy minimum amounts to receive these prices. Some fabrics can be discounted further. Please reach out to us with quantity and the fabric of your choice and we will let you know if it qualifies for a larger discount. If you need a large amount of fabric, it may be possible for us to order this in for you, please contact our customer service team to discuss.

Do you offer swatches/samples?

Unfortunately, as our stock is limited, we are unable to offer swatches/samples as this will affect the amount of available stock too much.

Is the colour of the fabric exactly the same as it appears on screen?

We use a Pantone Colour Matching System. This means that the colour given to the fabric is the name of the most similar colour as described by Pantone. Pantone is an industry standard for colours, printing & textiles. It is the best way to get a good idea of the true colour. Ideally you would have a Pantone colour book handy, but the next best thing to do is do a google search of the name of the fabric and it will show you an equivalent colour true to your screen. Depending upon your PC’s monitor, it could be a good idea to look at it across a few different screens for example, desktop and mobile phone so you can get a good idea of the colour tones. In general, however, there is always the possibility that goods may vary in colour and texture due to dye lots; unfortunately, this is unavoidable and does not constitute a defect.

Will I receive my fabric in a single length?

Yes, however, occasionally when we reach the end of the line of fabric there may be 2-3 pieces across different rolls that total the stock level available. In this case, a staff member will contact you and let you know the lengths. If you, the customer, can use the lengths, we can proceed & they will be shipped out to you. If not, the staff member will discuss other options with you. If the staff member is not able to speak with you by phone, customer service will email you. If we do not hear back from you after a substantial amount of time, we will despatch the order. Once you receive the fabric, if you find that it is not suitable, please contact us and we will find a solution for you.

Will the fabric shrink and are they pre-washed?

All fabrics should be pre-washed prior to use. This is important because if your fabric has not been pre-washed when you wash it, it is likely to shrink meaning that all your hard work may have gone to waste! We recommend washing the fabric once prior to working on it. Preferably at the temperature that will be used for subsequent washes.

It is important to remember that it is best to purchase additional fabric to allow room for shrinkage. Cotton fabrics will shrink up to 5% while flannel fabrics can shrink up to 10%. We recommend half a metre extra to allow room for shrinkage.

Is a matching thread or zipper available?

How will I know whether stripes run horizontally or vertically?

You can tell which way the stripes run by looking at the selvedge which is shown on the product photographs. If the stripes run the same way as the selvedge, then they are vertical stripes.

Returns and Refunds

What do I do if I receive my order and it appears to have a defect or has a fault?

Super Cheap Fabrics makes every effort to provide you with high quality fabrics. If you determine that the goods are not as they should be, you may, of course, lodge a complaint with us within 14 days of receiving the items. In this instance, contact our Customer Service department, which will carefully address your concerns and contact you to discuss options. (Exchange/Credit/Refund).

Can I exchange my goods?
